Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the Rexel Extra scheme. This scheme is operated by Rexel UK Limited ("Rexel") for the benefit of its selected account holders (the "Customer"). All Customers wishing to participate in the scheme should read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that they understand them before registering for the scheme. The scheme instructions made available to the Customer on the website www.rexelextra.co.uk ("Website") form part of these terms and conditions. By registering for the scheme, the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Rexel Extra Scheme
1.1 The scheme will run from the date notified to you by Rexel Extra and shall continue indefinitely ("Qualifying Period") until terminated by Rexel in accordance with clause 6 ("Qualifying Period"). Participation is subject to an annual review by Rexel. Rexel may, at their discretion, review the scheme, your participation in the scheme and the Qualifying Period at any time.
1.2. Rexel reserves the right to alter this scheme or these terms and conditions at any time at their discretion and without notice.
1.3. The benefits and rewards in the scheme are only offered to the employee of the Customer and / or business owner named in the personalised pack.
1.4. Rexel will award points to registered customers in relation to their Qualifying Spend within the Qualifying Period, which will only be amended in exceptional circumstances and at Rexel's absolute discretion.
1.5. The scheme relates to Qualifying Spend on the Customer's accounts only.
(i) Project and special orders do not qualify for the scheme.
(ii) Rexel reserves the right to exclude certain sales by giving prior notification to the Customer
(iii) From time-to-time Rexel may invite you to participate in additional promotions. These promotions may set spend targets to achieve additional points. These form the 'Qualifying sales' for each individual promotion.
1.6. Where the scheme is renewed, the qualifying spend will be reset for any successive Qualifying Period.
1.7. Customers can track their performance using the online portal and updates will be emailed regularly throughout the Qualifying Period, showing the Customers qualifying purchases achieved to-date.
2. Participants
2.1. This scheme is available to Customers of Rexel in the UK and is by invitation only.
2.2. This scheme is not available in conjunction with any other Rexel promotional activity.
2.3. If the Customer is an individual or partnership, the individual registering and benefiting for the scheme must be:
resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland and will remain so throughout the Qualifying Period; and
aged 18 or over at the start of the scheme.
2.4. If the Customer is a company, the individual registering and benefiting for the scheme confirms that he/she:
is aged 18 or over; has authority to bind the Customer / your employer on whose behalf you complete the online registration (i.e. the Rexel account holder); has made the Customer / your employer aware of the scheme and they have provided consent for you to enter into the scheme on its behalf.
2.5. If the individual participating and benefiting from the scheme fails to provide the requested and required information, or it becomes apparent that the facts set out in paragraphs 2.3 or 2.4 are inaccurate, Rexel reserves the right to disqualify the Customer and participant from the scheme with immediate effect with no liability on the part of Rexel.
2.6. The scheme excludes and is not available to employees or the immediate family members of:
Rexel;
Government Departments, Public Authorities or Housing Associations; or
any company who expressly forbid participation in such arrangements.
3. Claiming Rewards & Benefits
3.1. The points' value of the rewards will be as stated on the Website.
3.2. You may only claim your reward when you have collected enough points during the Qualifying Period. All claims must be made within 6 months of the end of the Qualifying Period and any claims beyond this time will only be permitted at Rexel's discretion.
3.3. All reward and benefit claims must be completed via the Website, whereupon the Customer will be asked to agree to these terms and conditions.
3.4. The points value will be calculated against the net value of Qualifying Spend made during the Qualifying Period (excluding VAT and after discounts and returns) at Rexel branches or on Rexel's online WebShop using the account number shown on the Rexel online portal. Points are only released and become valid to spend when invoices associated to that spend are paid.
3.5 Rexel reserves the right to impose a Spending Cap. Spend in excess of the Spending Cap would not be awarded points to be accumulated.
3.6 Points are also only valid when the Customers' accounts are kept in good order in the books of Rexel.
3.7. Rewards and benefits will only be issued if the Customer's account:
(i) has been operated within the agreed trading terms and conditions;
(ii) there are no outstanding invoices attributable to the Qualifying Period; and
(iii) there has been no suspension of the account due to non-payment or legal issues.
3.8. Rexel reserves the right to correct any errors that are made in respect of any spend and/or points accumulated. The Customer is responsible for keeping its own records of transaction to check for any inaccuracies.
3.9. Rexel may notify the Customer of the points accrued from time to time by email, post or such other method of communication chosen by the Customer. The Customer can also check the number of points collected by logging on to their account on the Website.
3.10. Tax and National Insurance liabilities are the responsibility of the individual benefiting from the reward or benefit and (in the case of employers National Insurance) their employer. By agreeing to these terms and conditions the Customer agrees that the appropriate notifications will be made.
3.11. Rexel will refuse to redeem any claim not in accordance with these terms and conditions. Any inaccurate or incomplete reward or benefit claim forms will be void.
3.12. No change to a reward or benefit can be made by the Customer after it has been booked in accordance with the information submitted on the on-line redemption form. In the event that the Customer is unable to make use of their reward through illness or other circumstance beyond their control, Rexel will endeavour to assist the Customer in re-booking the reward, where possible, but any additional costs incurred will be payable by the Customer.
3.13. If the Customer wishes to amend their reward in any way, such as extending their stay or adding additional participants to an experience, the Customer must state this when claiming their reward. Rexel and their suppliers will endeavour to provide suitable arrangements and will require the Customer to pay any additional costs before such arrangements can be made.
3.14. The rewards and benefits are supplied by third party suppliers. The receipt of a reward or benefit by the Customer or any individual selected by it will be subject to such suppliers' terms and conditions. Rexel are not responsible for any third-party websites to which the Website may link to.
3.15. Those participating in motoring-based rewards must hold a current full and valid UK driving licence.
4. Rewards & Benefits
4.1. All rewards and benefits are offered on the basis that they are subject to availability. Rexel reserves the right to substitute rewards or benefits of a similar quality and value if the reward or benefit featured is no longer available for any reason. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate chosen dates for holiday rewards, these are also subject to availability.
4.2. Only product rewards and benefits featured on the Website, or their approved alternatives, are available to participants. Rewards and benefits are not negotiable.
4.3. There is no cash alternative to the rewards and benefits on offer in whole or in part.
4.4. Despite Rexel's efforts, there may be instances when rewards or benefits are advertised incorrectly on the Website. If this is the case, Rexel reserves the right to amend the Website to correct any errors. Where the Customer has purchased rewards or benefits using their points, Rexel shall contact the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable to notify them of the error and determine how best to proceed. For the avoidance of doubt, neither Rexel nor any third-party shall be obliged to offer the reward or benefit where an error has been made.
4.5. Rexel will use reasonable endeavours to deliver the rewards or benefits to your nominated address within 30 days of the date of claiming. However, due to the exclusive nature of these rewards and benefits, despatch is subject to stock availability and no liability is accepted for late delivery.
4.6. All rewards and benefits are supplied with and are subject to the manufacturer's warranty. Rexel shall have no responsibility for the standard, quality or otherwise of any rewards or benefits.
4.7. Rexel accepts no responsibility for rewards or benefits lost or delayed in the post. Rexel shall also not be responsible where a third-party fails to issue a reward or benefit.
4.8. Any rewards or benefits that an individual receives through the scheme are received purely in the capacity of an agent, acting on behalf of the Customer. Any decision entitling individuals to be in receipt of the rewards or benefits rests with the Customer and not Rexel.
4.9. Expenses incurred during or as a result of participation in any of the rewards or benefits which are not specifically stated to be included in the reward or benefit are excluded and shall be paid for by the Customer.
4.10. Rewards and benefits cannot be transferred, exchanged or sold.
5. Travel Rewards
5.1. When redeeming holiday or tour rewards, the Customer's details will be passed to Rexel's tour operator who are ATOL/ABTA license bonded and will usually make direct contact with the nominated person within 14 days.
5.2. All holiday, experience, tours and other travel rewards are subject to the agent's booking conditions and cancellation charges that will be made available at the time of booking.
5.3. The Customer is responsible for passport, visa, insurance, and where relevant return transport between home and airport or destination and any other incidental costs such as airport parking. Rexel's agent may request sight of the Customer's insurance arrangements before issuing any holiday documentation.
5.4. Travel related rewards will exclude travel over all school holiday periods and bank holidays. All travel rewards are offered subject to availability and travel must be completed within 12 months of the date of the Customer's claim, or sooner if otherwise stated on a specific reward.
5.5. All holiday, experience, tours and other travel rewards are for the number of people stated on the rewards description on the Website. If the Customer wishes to include additional adults or children on any of the holiday rewards, the travel company may be able to arrange this. The additional cost involved will be payable direct to the travel company and Rexel accepts no liability for such additional arrangements.
6. Termination
6.1. Rexel reserves the right to suspend or withdraw this scheme at any time at their discretion and without notice. The Customer will not be entitled to any compensation or damages in the event of suspension or withdrawal. The Participant's right to use any accumulated Points will be forfeited and the Participant will not be entitled to any compensation or damages from Rexel, its agents or any third party.
6.2. Rexel may also terminate the Customer's participation in the scheme immediately without liability by giving notice to the Customer, in the event the Customer:
6.2.1. is in breach of these terms and conditions; or
6.2.2. is engaged in any fraudulent or illegal activities;
6.2.3. has collected points dishonestly;
6.2.4. acts in a hostile, abusive or aggressive manner towards any of Rexel's staff;
6.2.5 is in breach of any other Rexel terms and conditions or Codes of Conduct applicable to the Customer from time to time.
6.3 The Participant or the Representative can choose to withdraw the Participant's participation in the Promotion at any time by contacting the Promotion Administrator by email or by telephone using the contact details in The About/ Contact Us section of the website. Any accumulated Points not claimed by the date of withdrawal shall be forfeited and the Participant will not be entitled to any compensation or damages from Rexel and/or its agents.
7. General
7.1. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Rexel and the Customer in relation to the scheme. The Customer shall have no remedies in respect of any statement, representation, assurances or warranty (whether made innocently or negligently) that is not set out in these terms and conditions. The Customer shall have no claim for innocent or negligent misrepresentation based on any statement in these terms and conditions or the Website.
7.2. Save for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Rexel will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of the Customers participation, receipt or use of any reward in this scheme.
7.3. In all matters of interpretation of these terms and conditions, the decision of Rexel is final.
7.4. All correspondence and claims in connection with this scheme should be directed to Marketing Team, Rexel UK Limited, Eagle Court 2, Hatchford Brook, Hatchford Way, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3RZ.
7.5. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with these terms and conditions and the scheme.
